Apart from hosting an annual Leverhulme plenary at the annual NEICN Irish studies conference, there will be two Leverhulme sponsored conferences as part of this project:

• A three-day conference on ‘Joyce and the Nineteenth Century'. This conference will be held at Durham University on 14th to 17th April, 2010. Speakers include: Anne Fogarty, Luke Gibbons, Andrew Gibson, Emer Nolan and Jennifer Wicke.

• A one-day, project ending, conference and celebration of ‘Consumer Culture and Irish Literature’ to be held in Dublin in 2011.
